Visas

Visa guidance

We guide every student through the visa process. Here is how we help.

Verify before you travel

This is general guidance, not a statement of visa rules. Requirements depend on your nationality, passport and trip, and they change. Always confirm them with the official sources, such as the relevant embassy or government portal, before you travel.

  • Oman to China

    China visa for Omani students

Whether you need a visa, and which type, depends on why you are going and for how long, and the rules can change. We check the current requirements with you as soon as your plans are clear, whether for a short program or a full degree.

    How we help

    • A document checklist for your study plans
    • The university's admission documents, where the application needs them
    • Help preparing the application and booking appointments

Before you go

Things to know

  • Money and payments

Oman uses the Omani rial and China the renminbi (yuan). Mobile payments are everywhere in China, so we help you set up a payment app before you leave. Carry some cash as a backup.

  • Phones and apps in China

Some international apps and websites may not work in mainland China. Download maps, translation and messaging apps before you travel, and ask us about local SIM or eSIM options.

  • Culture and etiquette

Punctuality matters in both countries, and business cards are offered with both hands in China. In Oman, dress modestly in public places and when visiting mosques.

  • Weather and seasons

Oman is most comfortable from October to April, and Salalah turns green in the khareef season. China's climate varies by region; spring and autumn suit most trips.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Studying in China

It depends on your goals, your current level and how long you want to stay. In a consultation we look at your grades, interests and Chinese, then suggest a degree, a language course, a foundation year or a short program, and the universities that fit.

Usually your certificates and transcripts, a valid passport and a personal statement, and for some courses recommendation letters or a language certificate. Each university sets its own requirements and deadlines, and we give you a checklist for the courses you choose.

There are different kinds of scholarship, offered by governments, universities and cities, and some cover tuition, housing or a monthly allowance. Eligibility and deadlines change every year, so always confirm the details with the official sources. We help you find the ones that fit and prepare your application.

Many courses start in September, and some also in the spring. Applications often close months before, so starting about a year ahead leaves time for documents, scholarships and the visa. Dates vary by university, and we confirm them for each one.

Booking

Send us a proposal request with your group, dates and interests. We reply within two working days with a tailored proposal, and your booking is confirmed once you accept it.

Often, yes. Changes depend on hotels, transport and hosts, so we handle them case by case. The terms for your trip are set out in your proposal.

Groups

From small delegations to large student groups. Each program shows a typical group size, and we can adjust it for your organisation.

Yes. Most of our institutional and corporate trips are tailored: we adjust dates, duration, content and visits to your objectives.

Yes, participants receive a certificate of participation. Where a host institution issues its own certificate, we explain this in your proposal.

Visas

We guide you through the process and help prepare your documents. Requirements depend on nationality and can change, so always confirm them with the official embassy or government portal before you travel.

Safety

Families have one contact at our Muscat office who speaks Arabic, and we share each key step of the application, travel and arrival with them. Students also have a contact in their city for practical help.

We work with vetted hotels and transport, share a 24/7 contact number, and send coordinators with student groups. Travel and medical insurance is required for every participant.

Language support

Not always. Many universities teach some degrees in English, while degrees taught in Chinese usually ask for a language certificate. A language course or a foundation year can get you there first. Requirements differ by university and course, so we check them for each application.

No. A bilingual coordinator travels with each group, and we arrange interpreters for business meetings and technical visits.
